Review

A lesson begins with a short review of the content covered in the previous class. This ensures that the student understands what they have already learnt before moving onto a different module. It is also a good method to ensure that the student and teacher are aligned on what they will be learning in the lesson.

Theory

We will then go through the theory for the set module which is primarily based on the questions that the student got incorrect. The logic behind this is since we only have a finite amount of time in each lesson, we only focus on the student’s weaker areas. This allows each lesson to be efficient and to ensure that the student is constantly being challenged for further growth.

Homework

The homework we provide is extremely practical. It links theory to application with a focus on quality rather than quantity. The homework usually covers content learnt during the lesson which ensures that understanding is consolidated throughout the week. This is different for every student and can include tasks based on daily reading exercises, a series of fractions, comprehension worksheets and more!
